Emerging role of herbal drugs in the management of diabetes mellitus
Abstract
Harsimran Singh Bhalla is currently working as Assistant Professor, Department of Pharmacology, Sri Sai College of Pharmacy, Badhani, Pathankot. He has six years of teaching and four years of research experience in the field of diabetic nephropathy, ischemic preconditioning, hepatotoxicity and cardiac hypertrophy. He is mainly involved in teaching pharmacy graduates and post graduate (Pharmacology) students. He has supervised 28 B-Pharmacy and M-Pharmacy (Pharmacology) students. He has 12 international publications in highly reputed Journals with good impact factor and presented more than 15 papers in International/National Symposia/Conferences/Seminars. He has worked as scientist in-charge of institutional animal ethics committee (IAEC) of SSCP, Badhani since three years. He is familiar with many techniques such as ELISA, Langendorff’s apparatus, Spectrophotometry, Student physiograph, Dog apparatus, TLC, HPLC, Microbiological techniques and all the instruments involved in pharmacology laboratory. He has been serving as reviewer of American Journal of Pharmacology and Pharmacotherapeutics (AJPP), national editorial advisory board member of International archives of integrated medicine (IAIM), as well editorial board member of World Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences (WJPS). He is also an active member of many professional societies. The aim is to provide quality education to his students, which further utilized for the betterment of general public.
