Abstract

She is presently serving in the Calcutta School of Tropical Medicine at Kolkata, under the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Govt of West Bengal, India. She received her doctoral degree from the CSIR- Indian Institute of Chemical Biology, Kolkata, and gathered Postdoctoral research experience from the Department of Dermatology, Humboldt University, Berlin, Germany. Her research domain is mainly in the field of Glycoimmunology and Infectious diseases. Till date she has published 17 research papers in highly reputed International/National Journals, 34 presentations in International/National Symposia/Conferences/Seminars. She was awarded with the National Scholarship during her graduation and post graduation, as also research fellowship from the Lady Tata Memorial Trust, Department of Science and Technology, and CSIR, Govt of India, during her doctoral tenure. She was also awarded with foreign travel grants from CSIR, DST and INSA, Govt of India.  Till date, she has obtained five research grants from Govt. sponsors like Indian Council of Medical Research and National Health Mission, to carry out research mainly in the field of Immunodiagnostics of Leishmaniasis, Biomarker study in Chikungunya and Dengue, as also in Autoimmunity and Endocrinological aspects of HIV patients. She is also a registered PhD supervisor of Jadavpur University, India, and Editorial Board Member of the American Journal of Infectious Diseases and Microbiology & the World Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences, besides being a reviewer of many reputed journals.
