Abstract

We have developed 4H-pyrido[1,2-a]pyrimidin-4-one derivatives appended to various nitrogen containing heterocycles (3a-f). The structures of newly synthesized compounds were confirmed by spectral as well as analytical techniques and single crystal X-ray analysis of compound 4b is carried out. Further, the results of Osiris property explorer analysis and in vitro testing for the anti-inflammatory activity against hyaluronidase enzyme of these compounds are presented. Compounds 4e and 5f possessing N-methylpiperazine and piperazine ethoxy ethanol ring respectively have shown more growth inhibition than the standard drug Indomethacin at 10 μg concentration
