Abstract

Dr. Jigna G. Tank, now working as Assistant professor in UGC-CAS Department of Biosciences, Saurashtra University, Rajkot-360005, Gujarat, India. She has obtained here M. Phil. and Ph. D. degrees in Plant Sciences. She has worked on “Effect of cell growth regulators at molecular level on proliferation and differentiation in plants” for Ph.D. at Saurashtra University, Rajkot. During her research path she has served at various organizations and awarded with various fellowships and awards. She has published eight research papers and two popular articles in prestigious journals of national and international repute. She has also published two review articles in scientific journals of high impact. She has participated and presented in various national and international conferences and symposiums. She has won first prize for poster presentation at National Conference on Plant Physiology. She is presently working on plant anatomy, plant growth and development and study of various phytochemical constitutes. She has active interest to study plant development and differentiation, its metabolic regulation, synthesis and storage of phytochemicals and  their molecular regulation.
